The challenge
Home automation refers to control the home appliances by using computer technology. Home automation provides security, energy efficiency and ease of use hence, it is adopted more. The challenges faced while implementing this project were sub systems were not integrating. There were insufficient features and functionality as too many home automation control apps are available. There were lengthy delays during the construction of the project and also when the users were asked to use this project, they were lacking smart knowledge of controlling this system.
The solution
The solution which I implemented for the project was integrating the platform and makingthis more energy optimized. I made a real-time monitoring of the temperature and humidity inside the house. For safety and security, I used a camera module along with a PIR sensor for detecting motion in concern with the threats. In addition, for storing the images and displaying them I made a webpage to display the date and time of Intrusion. I made it a single app control system for controlling the appliances.
